| It's hard to say. I was slow relative to my peers on Sunday, but I had just got off the plane Saturday afternoon, and my front shifter was acting up again so I was stuck in the little chainring. There is a small spring in the Sram Red front shifter that can get corroded and gunked up with sweat & salt. I disassembled it and took it to a bike mechanic. After application of high powered solvent and mechanical cleaning, he was able to free the spring and fix it. I'll continue to post my rides. | |
