Hi Suhaimi and the rest of Woodlanz Cyclique,

I was looking at Google maps, to get there we definitely have to move through some high and fast traffic area. Besides, Mt Faber require some serious climbing effort. It may be a good option on a Sunday morning group ride, but on a Friday nite Leisure ride, it may not be the best option.

The route to Changi Village via Pungol may not be the most challenging but there are quite scenic setting, low traffic, good roads and gentle slopes make it quite ideal for a relaxing ride.

I am proposing that tonight (Friday Oct 2, 2009) instaed of the usual Changi Village route, we yake a slow ride to via Seletar to Serangoon Garden Chomp Chomp area, there is a lot of nice food there. The ride one way is just about 20km.

This should be short enough, you should be able to handle with your MTB if your road bike has not been fixed yet

1. Head north on Woodlands Ave 4 toward Woodlands Ave 7 0.3 km
2. Turn right at Woodlands Ave 7 2.1 km
3. Continue on Sembawang Way 0.5 km
4. Turn right to stay on Sembawang Way 11 m
5. Turn left to stay on Sembawang Way 0.6 km
6. Continue on Canberra Link 0.6 km

As cycling could be totally uninterrupted (no need to stop for traffic, just go for as many laps as you like) in the training circuit, It would be interesting to see how your Garmin Edge 705 would report the ride.
