| This morning, I could not finish the ride with you guys. Along Mandai Rd, opp the Zoo, at about 5.45am, I got chased by a group of 4 to 5 fierce dogs. These dogs are well kept and don't look like wild dogs. Somebody may have been careless to let them loose. They are fast, can run up to 25km/hr upslope, I have to cut into the right lane and do a U-Turn as I could not out-pace them especially along the up slope.
Please be warned and be cautious when riding along that stretch of road in the early morning. | |

I met some these dogs when doing my 4:45am Sunday ride along that rode opp. the army camp last year. The dogs were scattered around the outer left side of the road and suddenly they chased after me and one almost bite my front tires. I just cycled and kicked all the way until I was cleared from their ambush. As mentioned by Yang, be careful when cycling over there. The best prevention is to keep in groups over that stretch just to be safe. Not that we are afraid of the dogs but sometimes they cause such a nuisance that distract us and cause accident when we try to swerve and outrun them and there may be speeding vehicles from behind that we are unaware of.
