SCS (YishunCentre) Bike-A-Thon.... YOG Component Project

SCS Bike a Thon is comfirm on this coming Saturday. Its only about 12 km ride with games in between for the kids. All are wellcome to give a helping hand. Thanks

The program sequence of the Bike-A-Thon on 12th June 2010 are as follows:


8.30am - All bikers to report at Nee Soon East Community
Club.

8.35am - Respective youth bikers groups to be briefed by
their Mentor Bikers.

Quick Breakfast (Sponsored by
MacDonald).

Distribution of group
t-shirts.

Youth to test bike
and accessories.

Respective mentor
bikers to conduct water Parade.

9.45am - Ready to welcome G.O.H (Associate Prof. Ho Peng
Kee) at Starting Point.

10.00am - Arrival of G.O.H.

10.05am - Flag Off
Ceremony.

10.10am - GESL 24/7
Bike-a-thon.

1.00pm - End of Bike-a-thon/Welcome ceremony at Nee Soon
East Community Club’s Hall

(All
bikers are expected to proceed directly to the hall for the welcome back
ceremony and Bikers Stunt Show)

1.30pm - Lunch (SCS staff will collect lunch and
carnival goodie bags for youth bikers, while teacher volunteers and mentor
bikers please collect lunch and

carnival goodie bags from the
Bike-A-thon counter located at the back of the
hall.

2.00pm - Post Bike-a-thon Activity( To be held at
Function room level 4).

Event Detail For Woodlandz Cyclique Kakis:
Date: 12th June 2010 (Saturday)

Rendezvous: 888 @ 7am SHARP... to those staying at Yishun & others, please meet at Nee Soon East CC @ 7.30am SHARP. Upon arrival at event's venue, Keith will brief all kakis about the day's task. Please take note on respective team groupings. 8.30am onwards... follow official program sequence.
Distance:
Approximately 12km - there will be games for the participants at
pitstops in between ride.
Speed: 10 ~ 15km/h
No. Of Participants: 70 youth riders - excluding Marshals & Safety Riders.
Compulsory Items: Helmet, Covered Footwear, Own Bike.
Route: (ROAD - 8km) Nee Soon East CC ~ Yishun Ave 9 ~ Yishun Ave 6 ~
Yishun Avenue 1 ~ Seletar Dam ~ Yishun Avenue 1 ~ Lower Seletar Park (Pitstop/Games) ~
(PCN - 4km) Bottle Tree Park (Pitstop/Games) ~ Yishun Ave 2 ~ Yishun Central ~ Nee Soon East CC (Ends)

* We will be helping out at the CC on Friday night (11th June 2010), checking & arranging rental bikes. Those keen to lend a hand, please meet-up at 8pm 888 or 8.30pm Nee Soon East CC.

Bros, I like to thanks Mann who helped me with all the adim and corresponding work, Rahim driving us to meeting, Amir listening ears and feed back for the pass three months and least of all, to all who turned up this morning to help at the SCS Bike-A-Thon. I am proud to say it was very successful and once again A BIG THANK YOU

Hi guys
U are great. My 1st time getting 2 know everyone but unfortunately cant remember most names except few. Will try harder the next time.

Joining this YOG component project was a gd opportunity 4 me to ride up 2 Yishun. I love the fun talk abt the different categories of "Pro" riders. Also the "can't even smell smoke". Think if I ride wif u guys I better bring along a tow line.

M also glad 2 c so many fixies in a cycling group. They are really beautiful things. Maybe can also get one.
