Wow...must pay 30bucks this year but the Endurance Challenge 30km Skating/ 45km Cycling will each receive a special edition finisher t-shirt, medal, certificate as well as a goodie bag. who's in for this??? Twisted Evil

I and haziq definitely will be taking part in this event. Hope many more from Wdlns Cyclque can join.
But not for skating. Never skate before so can forget about it lor..

I've participated in this event every year since 2005 & it used to be free. Now got to pay also horrrr...???? Aiyoooo....

Anyway along the years, this event has lost it's novelty. I'll give it a miss this time round.

Hi Guys,

For those Gg for the runway cycle this Sun, we can meet blk 363 (opp civic center) at 650am and move off 7am sharp. Details as follow:

- The gate (W7)
will open at 7am sharp on the event day.
- All participants are required to go through the security check at
the entrance prior entering the air base.
- Coupon will not be required for registration.
- Participants for the Endurance Challenge are reminded to bring their Identity
card
(with photograph) for verification at the registration counters at
Hangar 1. In event that your Identity card is deposited at the bicycle
rental
booth, you may just quote your NRIC No. for identification.
- A number bib will be issued to all participants upon registration.
- For effective performance of the RFID bib, participants are advised to
secure
their number bib at the back of their jersey.
- The electronic gantry will be set up at Lane 1 & 2 only.
- Participants for the Endurance Challenge are to proceed to Lane 1
& 2 at
the start point.

DURING

- The flag-off will start at 8.30am.
- Participants are discouraged from speeding as there is no placing for
the
Endurance Challenge.
- Timing will be base on nett time. That means the time will
commence only when a participant crosses the electronic gantry at the
start point.
- There will be amply drink stations along the route. Participants are
advised to hydrate themselves throughout the event.
- Medical teams will be stationed at various checkpoints to provide
medical attention when necessary. Participants
who
are unable to complete the whole distance are encouraged to stop
immediately when they feel unwell. There is no placing in this category
so you
are not required to complete the entire distance. Remember, your health
and
safety comes first!
- The runway will close at 11.30am, 3 hours after the flag-off.

AFTER

- The end point for the Endurance Challenge will be
the same electronic gantry as the start point.
- Participants for the Endurance Skating & Endurance Cycling must
complete 2 laps (30km) & 3 laps (45km) respectively.
- Participants should continue to cycle/skate for another 500m after
crossing the finish line and exit on the left.
- There will be an electronic gantry at the exit point on the
left for 'check-out' before the participants return back to
Hangar 1 to collect their medals, t-shirt and goodie bags.
- Certificate of Participation (with personalised name and time) will be
mailed
to all Endurance Challenge participants 3-4 weeks after the event.
