Yes, for a start you might wana join us on the Fri Nite Uncle ride, will be riding at leisure pace. Than you can join us too on Sun Group Ride for mixture of leisure and Fast pace.
Once you are ready, hit it on Wed Training Ride & in no time...You are Fast & Furious liao...

I am Leow, stay @ Blk 357 ( Civic centre). Just want to ask where a group of uncles( min 40) should join you guys for a ride?

We have 5 riders(Including me, but highly unusual full force) and we usually ride tuesday, thursday and weekend when possible. Its around 8 pm that we set off.

normally we ride on wed nite (8 pm at 888), fri nite (8 pm at 888) and sunday morning (7 am @ 363)

why do we join force tomorrow at 888 @ 8 pm? alleyway between ntuc and food centre, near ocbc atm

saw lots of cyclist at mandai shell there.

You will be surprise is easier to ride to changi village than 20km mandai loop. And if u can already ride mandai, 60 to 80km wont be an issues to u at all..

bro. just join us, if u feel uncomfortable on the way, den u can ride slowly back to woodlands.

if you dont try, u never know what it is like...don bother to find out how siong it is...just do it!!!

our group are not that fast..but i believe you can keep pace with us after riding with us for a few time...cuz u are still young! 15yrs old..still got lots of potential sia.

Firstly, welcome to the group. If u're new to cycling, make sure ur bike fitting is at ur comfort best. U'll feel relax & comfortable even when u're riding long distance. For a start, ride at ur own pace & momentum.... don't care too much about the speed. No worry as u'll pick up speed gradually when u ride frequently.

Do join us for group ride... & don't worry about being left behind coz some kakis will pace the slower ones. We'll guide u as we go along.

Ajiq, what abg man said is right, you must have the right bike fitting, else u will get injuried easily no matter long distance or short spin.
it is not how good the material of the bike, but how accurate is the fitting and size.
this 2 factors is very important if you are serious into this hobby.
u wil get stronger as u ride constantly at lease 2time a week, clocking at lease 50km for a start.
gradually, go for alternate training like long distance endurance, and short spin.

u can also join us on tuesday n thur 5am, for short spin from woodlands to mandai. less than 25km per time, and less than 45min per session.

Listen to the Wise Men (above 2) and you wont go wrong...
